A stripped-back indie number, 'Closer' leans on some of the great songwriters of the 00s for inspiration; freckled with gently snaking guitar hooks and undulating piano chords it could easily slot right into place on Lianne La Havas' breakup record or any of Sharon Van Etten's back catalogue for that matter. - DC
